Everything Is Fine
Once You Let It All Go
At the beginning of the pandemic, I began a series of surrealist drawings that reflected my preoccupations at the time. My early drawings focused on a sense of impending catastrophe and loneliness. However, gradually my thinking about the situation evolved and my focus changed. Drawings such as Floating Away and Time to Go, explore the idea of escape, getting away from the past. The characters in many of my drawings are depicted in the nude because when one leaves their past, one has to start completely anew with nothing.
